Yorkshire Building Society Launches Recruitment Drive
Yorkshire Building Society Launches Recruitment Drive
(PRWEB UK) 28 November 2011
More than 120 financial jobs are being created by Yorkshire Building Society, as the company seeks to capitalise on a number of successful strategic mergers and acquisitions it has made since the financial crisis.
The Yorkshire now stands as the second-biggest building society in the UK, after merging with Barnsley in 2008, Chelsea in 2010 and Norwich & Peterborough just this month.
The business is looking to embark on some intensive finance recruitment for workers in Bradford, where it has its headquarters, but is also looking to draw talent to the region from elsewhere in the UK. The extent of the new job creation is such that bosses are looking to lease new office space to cater for the expansion.
The company’s corporate development manager, Andy Caton, said they were delighted with the position the company is in, and were looking forward to a very positive outlook.
“We place high importance on the quality of our customer service and our recruitment of new staff reflects our continuing commitment to this priority,” he said. “We value our Yorkshire roots and are pleased to be creating more jobs and supporting the local economy.”
Bradford councillor David Green added that it was tremendous news for the Bradford area and was a clear demonstration of the promise being shown by the north of England. He said, “This is great news for Bradford and reflects the continued growth of one of our highest-profile employers.”

You may have not intended to do so, but I think you have managed to express the state of mind that a lot of people are in. The sense of wanting to help, but not knowing how or where, is something a lot of us are going through.
