Cost Savings & Features Factor into Business Users’ Decision to Move to VoIP, WhichVoIP Survey Reveals

Seattle, WA. (PRWEB) November 28, 2011

Low operating cost and highly useful features are the top two reasons WhichVoIP’s business customers made the move to VoIP service, according to a recent WhichVoIP survey of its current clientele.

“Business leaders are looking for cost-effectiveness and high functionality of goods and services, especially for technology-based services,” Tony Campbell, CFO of WhichVoIP, said.

WhichVoIP wanted to share the results of its survey with the industry to remind VoIP service providers what VoIP customers want, Campbell added. The survey is part of WhichVoIP’s ongoing efforts to provide comprehensive information and competitive choices among VoIP service providers to corporate and individual customers.

According to the survey, the most important reason for business enterprises switching to VoIP is the cost of acquiring and maintaining this communications technology.

Nearly 80% of those surveyed said the price of the service was an important consideration in their decisions to select VoIP instead of a traditional telephony system.

Business VoIP phone service offers more affordable domestic and international calling — and eliminates the need for in-house PBX hardware and related maintenance needed for traditional telephony systems.

Slightly more than 60% of those surveyed said the value-added features and functionality — offered with VoIP service at no extra charge — appealed to them when considering VoIP in their business phone service purchasing decision.

“It’s no surprise that business leaders and managers were attracted to the opportunity to get quality service and value-added features without the extra cost associated with the PSTN,” Campbell said.

Also worth noting is that nearly 53% of those surveyed said the salesperson’s knowledge was another major factor in their decision to choose VoIP business phone service. Friendliness of the salesperson came in at a little more than 21%.

WhichVoIP is a leading VoIP website that educates its viewers on the diverse offerings available in this developing technology, both to residential and business users, through articles, reviews and blogs.
